Rewrite these sentences in the past tense:

  1. John sees that I am very angry with him. - John saw that I was very angry with him.
  2. She asks if you know who she is. - She asked if you knew who she was.
  3. Just as I go out, the rain begin to fall. - Just as I went out, the rain began to fall.
  4. He imagines that he knows everything. - He imagined that he knew everything.
  5. The fog becomes denser as we reach the top. - The fog became denser as we reached the top.
  6. They all think that I am very wealthy. - They all thought that I was very wealthy.
  7. She knows very well what she is doing. - She knew very well what she was doing.
  8. As we walk along, she takes me by the arm. - As we walked along, she took me by the arm.

Adjectives: Adjectives are describing words. The are usually placed before nouns to make out writing interesting. Place correct adjectives before these nouns.

  1. An ability person. - An able person
  2. A storm sea. - A stormy sea.
  3. A anxiety mother. - A anxious mother.
  4. A joy event. - A joyful event.
  5. A mountain country. - A mountainous country
  6. A quarrel girl. - A quarrelsome girl.
  7. A friend act. - A friendly act.
  8. A fame pianist. - A famous pianist.
  9. A fortune escape. - A fortunate escape.
  10. A sense person. - A sensible person.
